Enabling WebGL

To ensure you can access Lifeline with faster speed and better performance, we strongly recommend you to enable the hardware acceleration (also known as WebGL) settings in your browser.
Please follow these instructions to enable it in just a few seconds:

Chrome:

  • Visit this URL chrome://settings (or directly open the ‘settings’ of your Chrome)
  • Scroll to the bottom and click ‘Show advanced settings’
  • In the System section, ensure the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox is checked (you’ll need to re-launch Chrome for any changes to take effect)
  • Firefox:

  • Visit this URL
  • Search for webgl.disabled
  • Ensure that its value is ‘false’, if not, double click to change it from ‘true’ to ‘false’ (any changes take effect immediately without re-launching Firefox)
  • Safari:

  • Go to Safari’s Preferences
  • Select ‘Security’ and ensure the ‘Allow WebGL’ checkbox is checked
  • Click ‘WebGL Settings’ and choose allow and click ‘Done’ to apply (any changes take effect immediately without re-launching Safari)
  • If you can’t find this setting in your Safari, please try the other way:

  • Go to Safari’s Preferences
  • Select the Advanced tab
  • Ensure that the Show Develop menu in menu bar checkbox is checked
  • In Safari’s Develop menu, ensure that Enable WebGL is checked
